THE GREAT RECEIPTION FOR FC VITO TANDAHIMBA IN MTWARA

11.08.2006 ÷ It was a special and historical day for the FC Vito boys who won the third position and awarded a bronze medal in the International Youth football tournament HELSINK CUP 2006 held in Finland on 9th – 15th of July. The heros arrived in Dar-es-Salaam Airport on 19th July by Swiss Air, a lot of people were wondering to see nice boys shining with bronze medals on their chests. Ms Juliana J. Yassoda from National Sports Council jumped and shouted loudly "FC Vito Oyeee!!!!! Tanzania Oyee!!!” every one replied “Oyeeee!!!!" and she provided a speech on behalf of the General Secretary of National Sports Council then shaked hands with boys.

The amazing receipton was in Tandahimba, where the boys are originated. It was fantastic receiption, when reached on Tandahimba land twenty kilometer to Tandahimba Centre crowd of people on both side of the road rising up their hands and shouting and singing congratulating the boys for the great job did in the Helsinki Cup 2006. There was a big crowd of people who came to see the heros something led to change the venue, from District Commissioner to football ground so as to have chance for people to stand.

There were different school bands and the pupils from different school were arrenged in lines walk while singing. The District Comissioner received the boys from SDA before parents with short speech about the boys trip to Finland from the SDA Manager, then the coach Felix Mvula handled over the Tanzania frag to her. The District Comissional provided a speech to the people concerning about the importance of sports and development, she said sports has a big role in human life, she belive that the boys has learnt a lot of thing in their journey, the parents have to give them chance to deliver what learnt. Also said the boys brought challenges to the Government that why adult does not performing good in the International competetions. She ended by saying everything possible under good management and she promised to take care of the team.

The parents, leaders and all people were so happy with the boys performance. After that followed food and drinks for leaders, parents and the HEROs.
